What's New at Household Management 101?

It seems like I have been on a bit of a cleaning jag here lately with spring coming. (See below for a whole series on spring cleaning). But I guess it is on the brain, so lots of the new stuff this month is about cleaning.

There is also some stuff about car maintenance, more resources for household inventories, and also kids' safety, thinking about first aid kits.

Please Share Your Home Management Tips With Me (And Read Ones Submitted By Other Readers)

Here at Household Management 101 I am always looking for new ideas about household management. I have created a section of my site where you can tell me your home management tips, such as about laundry, cleaning, household notebooks, school and homework, or any other idea under the sun.

Please Share Your Home Management Tips Here

You can also read some of the tips already submitted by other readers. I have really enjoyed receiving these tips, and love how each person has made a system or used an idea, changed it for their circumstances, and really made it work for them.

Check out these laundry scheduling tips and cleaning schedules submitted by fellow readers. See if any of these would work for you, and don't forget to comment on their posts!

Site Redesign - Check Out The New Look!

I'm not sure if you noticed, but I have not posted anything new in the last week or so.

I am sorry about that, but I am up to my eyeballs in a site redesign.

It is mostly done, so I would love for you to pop over and take a look around.

However, I have still not quite gotten all my pages to the new look, so some still look the same as before.

Don't be alarmed -- you are still on the same site. It just looks different in different places.

I hope to completely transition by the end of this week, or early next week so people aren't so confused!

I appreciate your patience while this occurs.

No worries, I plan to get back to writing lots of new articles really soon!

Spring Cleaning Is In The Air

The weather around here has gotten me in the mood for spring cleaning!

Of course, after I got all my kids' clothes transitioned to their spring and summer stuff, and put most of the winter stuff away it snowed. Go figure! :)

Nonetheless, spring will eventually get here.

And for those of you in the other hemisphere, fall cleaning can be inspirational too, so you can also check out this series I published about spring cleaning, just substitute in your mind "fall" for "spring!".

Introducing A New Series - How To Videos

I don't know about you, but sometimes written explanations are just not enough for me.

I need to see how it is done.

Because of this I have introduced a new series here at Household Management 101 -- how to videos.

I think these videos will be helpful to you in really understanding how to do various things around the house.

Plus, I don't leave you high and dry if you don't like videos. I also provide written instructions you can reference, so you have the best of both worlds.

Here is a list of the ones already up on the site.

Be looking for more to come soon!

Thanks for joining me for
