Cleaning Silver With Baking Soda - Removing TarnishIngredients:
Directions: Step 1: Make a paste with approximately equal amounts of the ingredients. Step 2: Gently srub the paste on the silver with an old toothbrush or other soft bristled brush, being careful to get in all the small crevices within the silver. Step 3: Rinse the silver under running water, and then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Please note that this recipe helps remove tarnish from the silver, but after removing the tarnish the silver will still need to be polished, such as with this homemade silver polish. In A Pinch You Can Use ToothpasteIf you are in a pinch because guests are arriving soon, and there is only a small amount of tarnish you can also try buffing with toothpaste and a damp cloth.
